A four-year-old Ohio boy is reminding us that kids are always paying attention to what grown-ups are doing. Builder Marc Franks posted a TikTok video showing what happened when his nephew, Jaxen, decided to place an order with Uber Eats.
Marc was on a job site when he got an early morning call from his dad asking if he’d ordered from Starbucks. He was clueless, but the family soon figured out it was the work of Jaxen, who had been using his grandma’s phone to watch YouTube. The preschooler must have decided to check out some other apps on granny’s phone while she was still sleeping and having seen his family place food orders with the delivery service before, he knew exactly what to do.
The result? A $230 order from Starbucks and Dunkin’ that no adults were expecting. Jaxen got four venti iced caramel macchiatos, three tall caramel macchiatos, four grande macchiatos, eight orders of bacon and gruyere egg bites, a blue cake pop and a couple of iced hot chocolates from Dunkin’. The family made sure the kid knew what he did was wrong and that he shouldn’t do it again, but they did see the humor in the situation.
● “The whole time we were explaining to him why it was not okay, he had the blue cake pop all around his lips and cheeks, so it was really hard to talk to him without dying laughing,” Marc says.
● And Jaxen seems to be on his way to being a good customer because he even included a $32 tip with his order.
