Meghan Markle To Make Red Carpet Return At 'Lion King' Premiere

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" - UK Premiere - Red Carpet Arrivals

Even though Meghan Markle left her acting career behind to become the Duchess of Sussex, she's about to make her return to the red carpet. The former Suits star will attend the premiere of the live-action adaptation of The Lion King with Prince Harry on Sunday (July 14).

Despite Archie's first public outing with his mom on Wednesday (July 10), he'll be sitting this one out. Maybe he'll catch up on the original animated film while his parents are walking the red carpet in London's West End. While the event seems super glamorous (and there will definitely be fabulous outfits involved), Meghan and Harry's appearance at the premiere isn't simply because they're fans of the film. The event will support Harry's conservation work in Africa.

According to People, Meghan and Harry will meet with some of the cast and crew before viewing the film. The cast, of course, is star-studded. It'd be great to see Meghan and Harry hanging out with Beyonce, Donald Glover, and Seth Rogen. The Duke and Duchess will also meet with representatives from "organizations doing ground-breaking work for conservation and the environment."

Though Archie is missing the premiere, he'll jet off to South Africa with Mom and Dad this fall for his first royal tour. Harry will take on some of the tour on his own, visiting Angola, Malawi, and Botswana solo, his family will join him for part of the trip.
