Nicolas Cage Sings Sad Version Of 'Purple Rain' After 4-Day Marriage Ends

Nicolas Cage has had some highs and lows recently. The Oscar winner married his girlfriend of a year, Erika Koike, in Las Vegas last month, only to ask to have the marriage annulled four days later because both he and his wife were very drunk when they got hitched. Koike allegedly would only agree to a divorce and not an annulment and is now seeking spousal support, claiming she lost career opportunities because her time with Cage damaged her reputation.

Many people might take time to themselves after a break-up to grieve the relationship or recover from it in peace, but not the star of National Treasure. Instead, Nic hit up a karaoke bar in Los Angeles' Koreatown neighborhood. Footage of the actor taking on Prince's "Purple Rain" at the bar has hit the Internet and it is... unique.

The 55-year-old screams out the chorus to the 1983 hit as audience members support him by singing along.

Comments about the video on the internet included gems like, "It's like his mid-life crisis is having a mid-life crisis," and "No cage can cage the Cage."
