Drake is one of the three celebs that a guy by the name of Bennett Sipes is suing for viciously beating him up at a Los Angeles night club last year, TMZ reports

The "In My Feelings" rapper along with NFL football player Odell Beckham, and Kourtney Kardashian's ex Younes Bendijima are listed in the new civil lawsuit, which was filed after L.A. County Sheriff's Department dropped the criminal case because Bennett was being uncooperative. While video footage shows that Drake and Odell did not put hands on Bennett, in his suit he claims the two were behind his beat down.

According to lawsuit docs, obtained by the gossip site, Bennett was at Delilah nightclub in West Hollywood back in March 2018 when there was "a confrontation inside between himself and the defendants." He says he attempted to leave the VIP area, and that's when he saw Drake give the "throat slash" hand gesture. He then described what transpired next, saying as he attempted to enter the restroom, he was attacked by Younes along with members of Drake and Beckham's entourage.

Back in August, TMZ shared footage of the fight, which showed Drake and Odell looking on as Younes and an unidentified male beat Bennett up. Sources connected to the two also told the site at the time that Bennett was the aggressor in the VIP area, and incited them as they left.

Bennett's lawyer, Colin Jones told TMZ a different story back in August. He claimed that his client's Instagram model girlfriend Sommer Ray was hanging in the VIP section of the club, chatting with Odell. However, towards the end of the night, when Bennett, who was an employee of Delilah, but not working that night, went to the VIP section to get his girlfriend, Odell was not happy about. While what happened next is unclear, the two reportedly exchanged words. However, things did not turn physical until later in the evening when Drake, Odell and their crews were leaving through the back door.

Bennett says the fight caused him "extreme mental anguish and physical pain" and he's still incurring medical bills from the incident. His lawyer also told TMZ on Wednesday (January 23): "We gave the defendant's months to settle this claim without litigation, but when they failed to be accountable for their actions, we were left with no choice but to file suit to seek justice for our client."
