California car insurance changes

If you have teen drivers you know that it’s quite the shock to the system when they start driving. Not just that the baby chick is leaving the nest but also because of sticker shock from adding that new driver. My increase was pretty insane, I think it was around 800 bucks to add the little man. California has banned gender as a way to set car insurance rates joining Montana, Pennsylvania and parts of Michigan although California’s law will also include using educational status and looking at job or credit score.
