Trick or Treat night is tomorrow night here in Ames from 5:30 – 7:30. For many of us we grew up trick or treating, then it switched to the night before and became beggars night and now there’s a petition to make Halloween a floating holiday. Some people think that the holiday should be celebrated on the last Saturday of October which means it’ll move around like Memorial day or Labor day. The reason, parents thing it would be better to have a day long of festivities instead of a couple of short hours after work or school on a week night….I just think of the increased vandalism on a weekend.
