Swedish House Mafia Announce Reunion Show, New Music For 2019

Things are shaping up quite nicely for a full Swedish House Mafia comeback, as per a Monday afternoon (October 22) surprise press conference, where the hitmakers detailed an upcoming reunion show in their hometown of Stockholm, as well as their future plans as a threesome.

Since the group's unannounced reunion at March's Ultra Music Festival in Miami to close out the affair's 20-year-anniversary, Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso have recently hopped on their social media channels to tease some big news. Throw in that countdown clock that appeared on the trio's revamped website and, low and behold, the Monday announcement turned out to be massive. Not only did they confirm details about the second reunion show at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm on May 4th, but the EDM heavyweights promised brand-new music and an accompanying tour to follow. Projects dedicated to Angello and Axwell x Ingrosso will be placed on hold for the time being. Tickets for the trek go on sale to the general public via Live Nation on Saturday. Prior to their appearance at this year'sUltra, Swedish House Mafia's last performance was part of their "One Last Tour" on the Ultra stage in 2013. During that year, Angello admitted that they had decided to move forward with plans for a permanent hiatus since they "reached a point where [they] didn't know what the next move would be."
