Meghan Markle's Dad Reveals Warning He Gave Prince Harry Before Wedding

In a new interview with Piers Morgan on "Good Morning Britain," Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle, opened up for the first time since the royal wedding

As many of us can recall, Thomas was supposed to walk Meghan down the aisle when she was marrying Prince Harry. However, the dad had to undergo emergency heart surgery just a couple of days before the wedding. This news came after Thomas faced some controversy for partnering with photographers to get photos of him taken. But, the father looked like he didn't know that the pics were being shot, which was the point of the setup.

While speaking to Morgan, Thomas said that Meghan was very emotional when he told her that he couldn't walk her down the aisle. He also added that he cried when he saw his "beautiful" daughter at the wedding, as Thomas watched on a TV from California. Viewers also learned that Thomas' nickname for Meghan is "bean" because "Jack and the Beanstalk" was her favorite story when she was a little girl.

Viewers also found out what Thomas said to Harry when the prince asked him for his blessing to marry Meghan. It turns out that the concerned father gave the royal a warning. "You are a gentleman, promise me you will never raise your hand against my daughter and of course I will grant you my permission," Thomas recalled telling Prince Harry. Thomas added to Morgan, "Yeah he's a prince but my daughter has been a princess since the day she was born."

According to Daily Mail, Thomas was paid for the interview. However, Kensington Palace was not told about the sit down. So, this could potentially cause some new controversy.
