ACCIDENT in temp Arizona. Pedestrian was killed outside of the crosswalk. This is the first known death of a pedestrian struck by an autonomous vehicle. The car had a human safety driver that clearly wasn’t doing their job. There are some brief pauses on testing happening in some cities but it probably won’t be held down for long. If the car bases things on cross walk then there’s no way they can operate in campus town here in Ames…more on the story HERE!
