A young mom has admitted to charging her 5 year old daughter rent. The little girl gets a $7 allowance, makes her pay back 5 to teach her about how much things cost. The child has to pay $1 for Rent, electricity, cable and food leaving the little one $2. When I was a kid, I mowed lawns and I charged $6 and had to give dad $3……because he furnished Gas and the mower. It was part of learning about the cost of things. Is this a good idea or a bit harsh?
