Why does the school day end before the work day? I’ve never thought about this until now but it’s a challenge for parents with kids who can’t be home alone yet. If you don’t have kids yet or you’re kids are past the age of needing these services it’s easy to not think about parents problems covering kids. Interesting note, during WW2 schools introduced extended days to help mothers that were working. Why don’t we do it now….probably costs. You would have to pay teachers MORE to be there longer.
