With all of the requests from your cell phone to have permissions to things that there’s no way those apps need (I’m looking at you map’s wanting access to my photos) it has people concerned. A university recently started looking into what access your phones take liberty to access. After studying a bunch of media files the study found that the phones DID NOT turn on the microphone unprompted BUT they did find that there were some screen shots and screen recordings to third parties.
