Plastics breaking down faster than thought

We hear how plastics won’t break down for 100’s of years. Clearly that’s only for things we don’t want around, for things we do…they break down much faster. Apparently Neil Armstrong’s spacesuit at the national air and space museum is breaking down. There’s a rubbery layer that’s the biggest problem.
